LEAF PROTECTION PRODUCTS DISCLOSURE
- Leaf protection products are designed to help keep leaves, pine needles, seeds, and twigs out of the gutter system. Some maintenance will still be required.
- In the event that leaves and debris accumulate, the system should be cleaned by washing away or blowing out the debris to allow the product to function properly. Homeowners are responsible to do themselves or hire out a professional to accomplish the cleaning on a bi-annual basis at minimum.
- Leaf protection products are designed to handle normal rainfall events as long as they are kept clear of debris accumulation. The products will react differently in heavy rainfall events such as “gully washers”, inclement weather, and snow storms.
- Spraying water on the roof with a garden hose will deliver water volume in amounts much greater than the water volume produced during the heaviest of rainstorms. This ‘test’ cannot be used as a realistic expectation of the functionality of the leaf protection product.
- Leaf protection products are not designed to control or stop snow and ice from forming on it. Mile High Gutter is not responsible for ice dams, icicles, or snow buildup (or any damage that results from weather) on the leaf protection product.
- During winter storms and when roof temperatures are above freezing and air temperatures are below freezing, ice can form when the snow melts and the water flows into the colder area. When the gutters are protected with a leaf protection product, icicles and/or ice dams could form as a result. Gutters and leaf protection products will not cause nor prevent snow buildup, icicles, or ice dams from occurring.
- All product sales are final. If an issue arises due to an error that occurred during the installation process, coverage via the workmanship warranty as outlined in the proposal/contract will be assessed by a manager of the company.
